The Algerian Embassy in Nairobi celebrated the 62nd anniversary of independence by organizing several activities for the benefit of the national community residing in Kenya. More than 60 guests participated in the ceremony, which began with the raising of the national colors, followed by the reading of the opening of the Holy Quran in homage to the souls of the courageous martyrs. During this ceremony, the Algerian ambassador to Nairobi, Mr. Mahi Boumediene, stressed in his speech, "the historical importance of the history of independence for the Algerian people and the ideals and values that motivated the architects of the November 1st Revolution", which were considered, since independence, as founding elements of Algeria on the domestic and foreign levels. the population and revive the national economic fabric through illustrative figures. In this context, he stressed "the importance of popular support to relaunch the construction process through participation in the upcoming presidential elections", which he described as "an essential step to successfully strengthen the political process".
