The State Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E. Ali Mohamed Omar, met on Tuesday in Addis Ababa with Ahmed Attaf, Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad and African Affairs of the Republic of Algeria, on the eve of his participation in the work of the Executive Council of the African Union, and discussed with him the strengthening of bilateral relations and the expansion of cooperation in areas of common interest.
The meeting dealt with several key topics, including the consolidation of bilateral relations, exploring new ways of partnership and joint coordination, reviewing previous understandings between the two countries, and stressing the importance of continuing mutual coordination during their non-permanent membership in the United Nations Security Council, especially within the framework of the A3+ group, to effectively enhance Africa's voice in international forums.
