Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad and African Affairs, Mr. Ahmed Attaf, received today at the Ministry's headquarters the Secretary-General of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF), Mr. Mohamed Hammal. The meeting discussed ways to enhance cooperation and coordination on the most important issues and files on the GECF's agenda, in the context of implementing the important outcomes of the Seventh Summit of Heads of State and Government, held in Algiers in March 2024. The two sides also discussed preparations for upcoming events and discussed mechanisms for leveraging them to enhance the role of natural gas in achieving sustainable development and energy transition across the world.
