As part of the 2026 summer season, the Embassy of Algeria in Nairobi informs members of the Algerian community and all travelers bound for Algeria that the Algerian Directorate General of Customs has made available a series of guidance materials intended to facilitate customs procedures, particularly those relating to the import and export of personal effects and baggage, the declaration of foreign and national currencies and valuable items, and the procedures for obtaining a Customs Transit Permit (TPD) for vehicles. The Embassy invites all concerned travelers to consult these guidance materials before travelling to Algeria, using the links provided below, in order to familiarize themselves with the applicable customs procedures and facilitate their completion.
