I-General Information:
H.E. Farid Ouahid Dahmane has been appointed as the Ambassador of The People’s Democratic Republic Algeria to The Republic of Kenya, in August 2025, (covering The Federal Republic of Somalia, and The Republic of South Sudan), as well as Permanent Representative of Algeria to the United Nations Office in Nairobi (UNON)/UNEP and UN Habitat. Ambassador F.O. Dahmane was born in Blida (Algeria) on 7th May, 1970. He is married, with Three (03 ) Children.
II. Qualifications:
1.Degrees:
1987: Baccalaureate, Scientific Option
1988-1992: Bachelor’s degree in Law-University of Algiers.
1992-1994: S-3 Magister in International Law-University of Algiers.
1995-1997: Specialized Studies Diploma in International Law- The Université Libre de
Bruxelles (ULB)/ University of Brussels
1997-1999: Master's degree in International Politics-Study Centre in International and
Strategic Relations-ULB-(Brussels).
2005: Diploma from the Diplomatic Institute and International Relations (IDRI)-
Ministry of Foreign Affairs- Algiers.
2008-2009: Diploma of Advanced Studies (DAS) in International Relations and Diplomacy
(remote training) University of Lyon 3.
2014-2015: Diploma of Professional Capacity of Lawyers (CAPA)-

- May 2022-August 2025: Member, Representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, at the
- Algerian National Authority of Personal Data Protection (ANPDP).
- 2019-2021: Minister-Counsellor (Second), at the Embassy of Algeria in Berne.
- 2016-2019: Minister-Counsellor (Second), at the Embassy of Algeria in Cairo; and Deputy
- Permanent Representative of Algeria to the League of Arab States.
- 2014-2016: Deputy Director of International Judicial Institutions and Diplomatic Disputes at the
- Legal and Consular Affairs General Department (DGAJC)- Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Algiers.
- 2013-2014: Head of Desk of International Law; at the General Department of Legal and
